GENERAL RULES 2008

1.          Handicap rules will apply

          (see 2008 handicap rules on web site)

2.        Membership fee is $100.

3.        Only members who are paid in full are eligible to win cups at any tournament. A Member’s            guest  may play for cash prizes as long as our handicap rule ( Article 1/f) is applied.

4.      Cash prizes will be awarded at tournaments based on the Stableford points system (see rule 5) and will be awarded as  follows:

·       For all Handicaps; 1^st Prize- Highest points obtained

          2^nd Prize- 2^nd highest points

·       For members with a 26 or over handicap, there will be one prize for the highest points obtained (if that should win the overall prize or be 2^nd then the high handicapper that has the next highest points shall win this prize).

·       All ties shall be decided by the best points on the hardest hole system.

5          STABLEFORD POINTS SYSTEM (per the U.S.G.A)

·       Hole played in:

          (a) MORE than one over fixed score or no score returned = 0 points

          (b) One over fixed score = 1 point

          (c)  Fixed score = 2 points

          (d) One under fixed score = 3 points

          (e) Two under fixed score = 4 points

          (f)  Three under fixed score = 5 points

          (g)  Four under fixed score = 6 points

6.          HOW TO SCORE YOUR CARD (Maximum adjustments)

          - up to 9 handicap  -  Double bogey

          - 10 to 19 handicap - 7 on any hole

          - 20 to 30 handicap – 8 on any hole

7.      The GOLFER OF THE YEAR award will be awarded at the function after the captains prize tournament (all other tournament cups will also be presented this night).  The award will be given to the member with the highest points based on the best four tournaments taken. Members who have not played in four tournaments will not be considered.
